ABOUT THE JOURNAL

A little more joy in the everyday.

A colourful bowl of avocado, chickpeas, roasted sweet potato, lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, and radish

Good cooking doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it's a handful of fresh herbs, a pan of golden mushrooms, or the familiar smell of something baking.

The Recipe Journal is a place for those small, satisfying things: meals that fit into real life, ingredients you recognise, and a reason to gather around the table.

The way we cook

Start with what is in season. Keep the method simple. Taste as you go. There is room for a quick breakfast, a colourful lunch, and a slower Sunday supper at the same table.

Every recipe includes a clear ingredient list, numbered instructions, and time to help you plan. Tap ingredients as you cook or print a copy to keep beside you in the kitchen.

A journal taking shape

This is the first edition of the site, with a collection of sample recipes and illustrative food photography. The recipes have not yet been kitchen-tested. The final author's story and own recipes will be added as the journal grows.
